| As per the above Circular the Board has directed to accept the fees only in accordance with the clause (c) and (d) of Rule (2) of the Kerala Right to Information (Fee & Cost) rules 2006 while receiving application under Right to Information Act seeking information. And also directed not to accept Court Fee stamp, Postal Orders and Treasury Chalan. The clause (c) and (d) of Rule 3 of Kerala Right to Information (Fee & Cost) rule 2006 is as follows: - (c) by cash remittance against proper receipt in the office of the State Public Information Officer/ State Assistant Public Information Officer as the case may be, or (d) by Demand Draft/bankers cheque/pay order payable to the State Public Information Officer/ State Assistant Public Information Officer In view of the above, it is clarified that the application fee and other related fees in connection with the Right to Information Act can be collected by the PIO/APIO posted at the various offices of the Board as they shall be deemed as SPIO/SAPIO and the fees collected shall be accounted under the Account Head 62.931 |
