| The promotion to the cadre of Assistant Executive Engineer (Ele) is done in the ratio 75:25 between degree and diploma holders. As per rule, the promotion is to be done by applying the ratio of 3:1 on the cadre strength as a whole and not on the arising vacancies. Eventhough there is a specific stipulation in the matter of promotion to the cadre of Assistant Executive Engineer (Ele), the practice that was followed in the Board was that of applying the ratio on the arising vacancies. The same practice was followed in the matter of appointment/promotion in the cadre of Assistant Engineer (Ele) also. Consequently there were several cases before the Honourable High Court in the matter of seniority in the cadre of Assistant Engineer (Ele) and Assistant Executive Engineer (Ele). Finally, in pursuance of the judgement dated 14-6-2006 in WP(C) No.15193/04 and order dated 23-9-2004 of the Honourable High Court in IA No.12216/04 in WP(C) No.15193/04 and also in conformity with the decision of the Honourable Supreme Court of India in the judgment dated 12-2-2004 in CA No.884/02, the appointment/promotion of Assistant Engineer (Ele) was reassigned with effect from 23-11-1983 by applying ratio in the cadre strength and accordingly finalized their seniority vide proceedings No.EBGr3/Cadre strength/03 dated 27-11-04. Consequent to the above reassignment of seniority in the cadre of Assistant Engineer, the promotion and seniority of Assistant Executive Engineer was also reassigned. The same was also published in the official website of K.S.E.Board . In the seniority list of Assistant Executive Engineer (Ele) the due representation of since graduates were not considered. Later the same was examined and since graduates were also given due ranking in the seniority list of Assistant Executive Engineer (Ele) in conformity with direction of the Honourable Supreme Court of India in judgement dated 12-2-2004 in CA.No.884/02 vide proceedings No.EB.Gr3/Cadre Strength/03 dated 27-11-2004. | Created Size Downloads |

| The Governing Body of the K S.E. Board Employees Welfare Fund in its meeting held on 21.12.2009 has decided to enhance the subscription and benefits of the fund with effect from 1.1.2010. The Governing Body decided to enhance the death benefit from Rs.1,00,000/- to Rs.5,00,000/- and retirement benefit from Rs.1000 per year to Rs.3000/- per year. Total disablement benefit entitled to an employee retiring from service on invalid ground before attaining 50 years of age is now increased to Rs.3,00,000/- from Rs.1,00,000/- and the same benefit will be Rs.2,00,000/- if the employee retires after attaining 50 years (Now Rs.40,000/-). | Created Size Downloads |

| The Gradation List of Electricity Workers who were appointed from 16.12.2001 to 14.02.2008 was provisionally published vide Circular read as (1) above, with a direction that addition/ correction/ omission if any in the provisional Gradation List should be reported by the Controlling Officer concerned before 30.08.2008. Again, vide Letter read as (2) above, a reminder-cum-time extension upto 30.09.2009 was given for making correction if any in the provisional Gradation List. Accordingly, certain number of addition/ correction/ omission in the Gradation List of Electricity Workers have been reported.
