100 % Electrification of LA constituencies –Appointment of Nodal Officer

The Hon. Minister has announced that 100 constituencies would be completely electrified by the end of this year.Board here by re designate the post of Deputy Chief Engineer, APTS, Aluva as the ‘Nodal Officer’ for 100 % Electrification. The Deputy Chief Engineer, APTS, Aluva shall transfer all pending cases to Deputy Chief Engineer, APTS Trivandrum, so that the Nodal Officer can effectively monitor works related to 100 % electrification. Accumulation of electricity charge arrears – Disconnection of supply to the office buildings of agreement authority

After having examined, the arrear status in respect of various Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings, Local Bodies etc., Board, vide order dated 26.03.2011 had directed the field officers to, 1. intimate the arrear status as on date to the Heads of Government Department requesting to settle the arrears within one month and highlighting the discount / rebate offer for advance payment. 2. intimate all the defaulting authorities to the effect that coercive steps including disconnection of supply will be effected to the office buildings of the agreement authority in whose name the service connection is registered, if the arrears are not settled within one month. Annual Plan 2011-12

The process of preparing the Annual Plan for the year 2011-12 started with a conference of Planning Core Committee convened by Chairman, KSEB on 17.09.2010. This was followed by review meetings of Distribution wing held on 18th, 20th and 27th September 2010 and Transmission wing held on 29th September 2010. Based on the discussions in these meetings, it was decided that due consideration shall be given to maintenance and safety in the Annual Plan 2011-12. Specific targets shall be given to each Electrical Sections for certain category of works so as to avoid disparity between Sections in identification of works. Arrears of electricity charges - One Time Settlement with reduction in penal interest – Time extension

The Board vide its order read as 1st paper above extended the One Time Settlement scheme to settle arrears of electricity charges up to 31.03.2011 with surcharge reduced to 9% for one time payment and to 15 % for six monthly instalments with 1/3rd arrears as 1st instalment and delegated the Deputy Chief Engineers of Electrical Circles with the power to settle revenue arrears up to a principal amount of ` 2,00,000/- and the Chief Engineers (Distribution) were delegated to settle revenue arrears above ` 2,00,000/- but up to ` 4,00,000/-. The Chief Engineer (Distribution Central), Ernakulam reported that the positive responses from consumers resulted in successful utilization of the package under One Time Settlement for the realization of arrears. The delegated limits helped that office and subordinate offices to settle several cases. The Chief Engineer has recommended for the continuation of One Time Settlement scheme with further concessional rates of interests if possible for the settlement of arrears in future also. Arrears of electricity charges- One TIme Settlement – Adalath-Surcharge-revised of

The Board vide its order read as 1st paper extended the One Time Settlement scheme to settle arrears of electricity charges upto 31.3.2009. As per this B.O., surcharge accrued on arrears can be reduced from 24% to 18%, if the consumer is ready to clear the arrears in six monthly instalments and to 12% if the consumer is ready to clear all the arrears in one time. If instalment facility is allowed for remitting arrear amount, 25% arrears should be collected as 1st instalment. The Deputy Chief Engineers, Electrical Circles are delegated with the power to settle revenue arrears upto a principal amount of Rs.2,00,000/- and the Chief Engineers (Distribution) are delegated to settle revenue arrears above Rs.2,00,000/- but upto Rs.4,00,000/- The Board authorised the FTMs to settle arrears above Rs.4,00,000/-			Created Size Downloads	2009-01-05 16:13:59 55.11 KB 446
