KSEB charity electrifies Onam of the poor

onamOnam celebrations became more meaningful for KSEB workers in Thuravoor here when they donated a portion of their wages to enable a poor family to get an electrical connection. Moolan Jose of West Kidangoor near here was fortunate to get the connection to celebrate Onam, thanks to the humanitarian efforts of around 20 KSEB workers. The workers contributed a portion of their salary to ensure the connection.

The workers carried out the wiring works free of cost. The wiring work was completed within a day, providing modern equipment such as ELCB (Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker).

They also remitted the required fees and CD charges for the connection.

The workers offered to provide more connections to other deserving families.

Perumbavoor deputy chief engineer Mohemmed Kasim inaugurated the switchon ceremony, giving connection to the house of Jose.

Assistant executive engineer M Y George, assistant engineer Lalu Jose, subengineer Abdul Latheef, panchayat committee member Eliyamma Elias spoke.
